Our Brian Truitt is on his way to San Diego this morning for Comic-Con, a pop-culture promotion-fest beginning Thursday that at 40 years old now attracts most of mainstream Hollywood — even Denzel Washington, Sigourney Weaver and John Cusack will be there. Watch our Twitter feed on the right rail, where Brian will be Tweeting short reports regularly throughout the convention. In the blog, we'll feature his interactions with favorite movie and TV stars, like Robert Downey Jr. (there to promote Iron Man 2 and Sherlock Holmes) and Freddie Prinze Jr. (new to the cast of 24.) We'll also take a look at the fall and winter TV shows and movies being previewed there — James Cameron's Avatar, for example, and the sequel to last year's vampire phenomenon Twilight.

Fantastic – really excited to hear some news about Iron Man 2. First one was done extremely well. Would rather die then see any Twilight garbage though. Bonus for modern day cartoon geekists might be to get some news regarding The Venture Brothers on Adult Swim… will Brock Samson come back?!?! The trailer for last season has one of the most addictive musical numbers ever.
This is great – I’ll be watching for the reports since I can’t be there in person. I am a diehard 24 fan so anything about next season would be great – love Freddie Prinz Jr. and also Iron Man!!
Sorry I can’t attend – hate missing the fun – its so much more than comic books!
