Academy Award-winning actor and director Sean Penn celebrates his 49th birthday today. Penn, who won his second Oscar earlier this year for Milk (he also won in 2004 for Mystic River), stars in two upcoming movies, The Tree of Life with Brad Pitt and Fair Game with Naomi Watts. Belinda Carlisle turns 51. She was recently on Dancing With The Stars, but music fans might know her as the voice of the 1980s New Wave girl group, the Go-Go's. Actor and New Kids on the Block member Donnie Wahlberg is 40. Mark Wahlberg's big brother recently finished up a tour with NKOTB, and recently joined the cast of the upcoming Kevin James flick, The Zookeeper. The OC and Prison Break star Shannon Lucio is 29, and the reigning American League MVP, the Boston Red Sox's Dustin Pedroia, turns 26.

I read your news every week, but I am truly disappointed that you missed my very favorite actors birthday. Patrick Swayze turns 57 on August 18th. He is such an inspiration to us all with this strong faith and his great talent. I pray for him for his continued strength with cancer. Happy Birthday Patrick. You are admired and loved my many.
