James Cameron is gracious about ex-wife Kathryn Bigelow and their competition for best director and best picture Oscars. When Sigourney Weaver asks him on The Oprah Winfrey Oscar Special tonight (ABC, 10 p.m. ET/PT), if he’s rooting for Bigelow, Cameron replies, “You know, Kathryn and I kind of smile and laugh about the whole thing and kind of joke that she hasn’t made a film in seven years and I haven’t brought a film to market in 12 years. We had to pick this moment, you know, and here we are.” He adds, “I would hate to be responsible for robbing Kathryn of her moment in the sun. Because she’s earned it. That’s way overdue. And by the way, just the principle of honoring a female director is way overdue.” – Ann Oldenburg

Believed G+ would be growing at a much faster rate, but I guess it’ll choose some time. Still haven’t cared to use it on a daily like fb yet.
Many thanks, terrific article.
