Rodriguez, 41, was let go from The Early Show late last year, but her future at CBS News has not been disclosed. Just before Christmas, Telemundo, her husband Michael Rodriguez’s employer, announced that Michael was taking a new executive-level job in Miami — and that his family was relocating from New York with him (Maggie previously was an anchor for the Miami CBS station).

I also miss Harry, Dave and Maggie. I have been watching the Early show and GMA. I can’t stand the new weather lady Early show, she is so stupid, doesn’t know anything about weather, get ride of her.

I must agree with sooooo many viewers…we miss you Maggie, Harry & Dave. The new group is just plain annoying! I am thrilled to learn that Harry is now with NBC (which is where I will now be!) and I wish you and Dave the best. IThe chemistry that your team had on the air was such a combination of sincerity, passion and yes humnor…love you Dave! Thanks for all those mornings that made waking up at the crack of dawn worthwhile.

I took hate the new morning crew on the early show. I’ve swapped to GMA. That new guy is more of a diva than Erica hill! It’s gross. I miss Maggie and the guys,and hope they show up on another network soon!
I too have dropped CBS morning… gosh what a sad show that is now. I never much minded Erica Hill, on AC 360 until I realized what a diva she is.
Was so excited to see Harry Smith on NBC – he is always so calm and reassuring. CBS’ “boot” so such a great team as Harry and Maggie is anyone else’s gain.
I miss Maggie Rodriguez, too. When I had the time to watch morning news, I watched CBS morning show mainly because of Maggie. I’ve been wondering for months what happened, and finally looked into it today. Best wishes to her and her family.
I did not know that Harry Smith had gone to NBC. I have watched CBS for all my news ever since I was a kid in the 1950s because they were on the station with the strongest signal in my area. Perhaps is it time to try something different. I miss Harry, Maggie, and Dave. Best wishes to all of them.
I agree with Ted’s statements. Their ratings are low in the AM because of the show content and not the anchors. The producers and management should be the guys that were put out the door. I watched the show for the personalities of Harry, Maggie and Dave, and now they are gone. I am gone, too!!
I have also stopped watching the Early Show at CBS TOO, since they let the moring team go HARRY,MAGGIE,DAVE. Now I wake up to ABC GOOD MORING AMERICAN. Well now BIG BOYS UP THEIR AT CBS HOW ARE THE RATINGS NOW?. If nothing else You lost a lot of good views. And IT SEEMS LIKE NO ONE STAYS AT CBS TO LONG.

Yes, I agree. CBS made a big mistake. I now watch GMA, but would switch if Maggie, Harry and Dave appeared on another network.
These anchors do relate well with each other. Marysol is a joke and can not stand to be outside in the heat. I mean did she not watch Dave to see all of what he did. The show is not fun anymore.
The compassion of their stories and the compassion with the guests on the show is not there. What was CBS thinking? The Saturday Early Show is the only one worth watching with Rebecca and Russ.

I just saw Harry Smith on the NBC evening news! It was good to see him. I no longer watch the Early show and have switched to GMA. Where are Maggie Rodriguez and Dave Price? Oh, for the good old days with Harry, Maggie and Dave.
Erica and Chris aren’t Harry and Maggie…… Maggie was such a ray of sunshine in the morning. I switched channels……
I too felt like I was starting my morning with kin folks who were going to fill me with morning news. We watched Maggie’s pregnancy and her compassion. We watched Dave find his way across America. And Harry, he had such a way interviewing people. I hope they all found a step up.
I no longer care for The Early Show. I felt I was getting up with “kin” folks with Harry, Maggie, and Dave. Erica Hill is good but not casual as Maggie was. Chris Wagge seems snobbish and can’t get his hands dirty. Weather lady……..no comparison to Dave Price. CBS, admit it, you made a mistake.
Harry, Maggie and Dave really were a great team. I wish them all success and I now watch NBC in the morning.

I’m glad to here Harry has moved to NBC, CBS made a huge mistake removing him from the early show. Together with Harry, Maggie and Dave made the perfect morning show. Marysol Castro is a horrible forecaster and almost seems to be uncomfortable while doing the weather. Chriss Wragge reminds me of a creepy Ken doll and Erica is just a bit too dippy (although I didn’t mind her when she was subbing for Maggie).

Harry Smith is a real newsman with a great personality. He was a terrific host of CBS’ early morning show when he co-hosted with Paula Zahn; he was equally outstanding with co-host Maggie Rodriguez. He, Maggie and Dave Price were genuine and worth tuning into every morning.
Erica Hill and Chris Wragge are difficult, if not impossible, to watch. They are not journalists. They belong on one of the entertainment shows where they could talk about celebrities and other trivia. Can you imagine seeing Erica Hill reporting from a battlefield in Irag or elsewhere in the Middle East? What a joke.
I agree with those who enjoy CBS’ Saturday morning show with Russ Mitchell, Rebecca Jarvis and Betty Ngyuen. They are clearly brighter and have far more to offer than the plastic Mr. Wragge and Ms. Hill. Seeing Betty relegated to anchoring the pre-dawn newscast while Erica Hill gets prime billing is unbelievable to me. I now alternate between GMA and local news on weekday mornings. I will continue to do so until the current anchors are replaced.

I have nothing bad to said about the new casts but Harry and Maggie were a perfect pair on the air. Maggie’s smile lightened my mornings. Harry’s corky personality complemented great with the girlish Maggie. The new weather girl has some repetitive moves that she does over and over again “what’s going on outside your window”. It’s get old fast. We want Maggie back.
I too have not watched The Early Show since they let Maggie, Harry and Dave go. They got me going in AM I would record it just to not miss anything while I got ready for work. I will never watch again. I hope Maggie and Dave come back on TV I know Harry is now with NBC.

I, like many, have switched to the Today Show. I do watch the Early Show on Saturday, because of Russ Mitchell and Rebecca Jarvis, as well as Lonnie Quinn.
As for the new CBS crew, Erica Hill was better with Harry Smith. Chris Wragge has brought her down to his adolescent level, and Marysol Castro is just a hard, harsh personality with little to offer.
I look forward to watching Harry Smith on NBC. CBS news has lost me, except for Saturday morning and Bob Scheiffer on Face the Nation. He’s great!
I just can’t stand the Early Show. Erica, Chris, Marisol make me sick, especially Chris. He makes my flesh crawl with that sickening, smarmy smirk. I look at anything but CBS Early Show. Haven’t watched since December 2010.
I don’t know what CBS was thinking when they got rid of all the familiar morning faces in December. I no longer watch CBS in the morning – Erica Hill is too full of herself and Chris Wragge just thinks he’s a pretty boy who should always be smiling even when doing serious news. I’m glad to see Harry Smith is finally moving – He’s a class act.
I agree with all the other comments. I stop watching the Early Show on CBS also since they got rid of Maggie, Harry, and Dave. I watched Maggie on the local news in Miami, before she went to CBS. I was so proud of her, to see that she made it from local to national. I miss seeing her every morning, her smile lit up the screen. The other people that took their place are so boring, no chemistry! They need to bring Maggie, Harry and Dave back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I agree with all. I miss Harry and Maggie. Chris Wragge and Erica Hill are goofs. I have switched to either NBC or ABC and avoid the CBS news since the change. In fact, the last thing I do at night after watching Craig Ferguson is switch the channel to NBC so as not to inadvertently turn on the TV to CBS in the morning.
I agree with everyone else – I loved Maggie, Harry and Dave… I have seen the show a few times since they’ve been gone and it’s horrible… dipstick Erica Hill was talking about the final launch of the Atlantis shuttle this morning and called it the Shuttle Atlanta… what a moron. She and Chris Wragge make my skin crawl… I don’t mind the days when they are both off and Jeff Glor and Rebecca Jarvis fill in… anyone is better that Erica and Chris…
My husband and I have not watched the Early show since Maggie, Harry and Dave were fired. The new crew does not do it for us. We have gone back to watching the Today Show. I wonder if the executives that make all the decisions regret their decision to let the good people go. I wonder if they improved their ratings any by making the change.
I was shocked when CBS fired Harry, Maggie & Dave. They were my only reason for watching the Early Show. Never did like Erica and can’t stand the new crew. Have not watched the Early Show since Harry, Maggie and Dave left and will not watch it again. Keep looking for Harry on other news shows. What a terrible mistake CBS made. Early Show is doomed to fail.
I have gone back to the Today Show since Maggie and Harry were fired right before Christmas. That was cruel, and the new crew on the Early Show just does not do it for me. Shame on CBS for being so stupid. Maggie and Harry were great substitutes for Katy Couric as well.

I too was disappointed at the switch. I just can’t stand to see Chris for more than 1 minute cause he reminds me of a young bird face. I too have switched to NBC, but I also do not care for Merideth Vierra nor Matt Laur, but I like Al on weather. I liked Maggie and tolerated Harry. I miss them and CBS, but have switched to NBC. I think the change should not have been made, but now it’s too late and now I’m stuck with Matt Laur (Ugh) and Merrith Vierra (Double ugh). Guess FOX is not too far off.
I agree with other writers who said they switched channels after the firing of Harry Smith, Maggie Rodriguez and Dave Price. I haven’t watched the CBS Morning Show since that time, nor will I do so. I think those three persons were the most viewer-friendly people on TV, and I enjoyed watching their interactions on the show. I am a CBS supporter through and through, so am very unhappy about having to switch channels for the morning news, but that’s the way it is, and I’ll stick to it!
I miss Harry Smith and Maggie. Harry is one of the most believable people in the news. He makes me feel that he is so comfortable on TV, and the new ones seem as though they are always uncomfortable. I can do without Dave Price, but please at least bring Harry back. I am now watching NBC, and this is a first for me. Joyce
If the person serving you your breakfast news doesn’t matter then why the change? Viewer habits like Today and GMA are developed over years, not a few ratings books. Networks who don’t have the patience to improve the product and think that simply changing your server makes the meal go down better shouldn’t be in the restaurant business either!

Are you people serious about forming an emotional relationship with these anchors? They got laid off – big deal. You’re boycotting a TV channel over that? How about boycotting the companies, banks, big box stores which ruined our local economies, health, sell you cheap crap while making a big buck on foreign economic slaves’ backs?
If you care about something at least make it meaningful…

In defense of Harry Smilth, what has CBS gained with Chris Wragge? Consider the comparison:
Harry Smith : safe, affable, competent, avuncular (of course CBS was shocked that this type of personality can actually be attractive these days — witness their surprise whn Bob Schieffer proved so popular as Dan Rather’s interim replacement), host of the History Channel’s “Biography”, the image of Middle America
Chris Wragge: hip lounge lizard; ex-Mr. Playmate of the Year.
‘Nuff said. I can imagine Wragge now, swapping indiscreet fantasies with Ghadaffi and Berlusconi. Nothing like holding your own with heads of state.
Another inept move by news executives at CBS. It is a shame that executives never seem to fire themselves over gross mismanagement. The problems with the CBS Early Show were not personnel related — at least not with the recently departed staff. The show had finally gotten a bit of continuity after a series of pregnancies over the course of a year had disrupted the show’s flow.
And finally the true “anchor” of the show — Julie Chen — the anchor whose bumbling interviewing skills and inability to relate to mortal earthlings was weighing down the show –was finally spun off to poison the chemistry of “The Talk.” God! she was awful and being the boss’s wife, the chemistry with her co-workers died visibly on the set when she was around. I’m sure they were relieved to see her go. She was the one constant on the show throughout it’s ten year flatline in the morning show ratings.
Shame on you Sean McManus for not having the cojones to fire the boss’s wife. Of course you were never a news man anyway. Your a sports guy. And you are not your father, Jim McKay. You might not even had had the sports career if Wide World of Sports hadn’t needed the occasional stand-in for The Agony of Defeat. Of course, you were so perfect in that role.
And so now what is left? — A ragtag crew of weekend flunkies whose resumes have to be propped up daily by creating fluff news to make us believe they have really earned the spots they now hold. If you were going to ditch the old crew anyway (which I think was unnecessary and way premature) , why not bring in someone whose presence would actually spark some attention? Like Elisabeth Hasselbeck? Or the recently passed over Chris Cuomo? Come on! Give me a reason not to sleep in.
And I know it’s not an option at this point but I agree wityh one comment here that Maggie would have made a nice replacement for the outgoing Couric. Couric — another Sean McManus fiasco?

I’m late in finding out what happened to the best group of early morning people CBS has ever had that all were fired. Bad move, as far as I am concerned, but they were my favorites, especially Maggie. Now I just filp over to another network.
@Sondra Curtis I also have stopped watching the Early Show on CBS. I now watch NBC, I had been a faithful viewer for a few years until now. Until Harry, Maggie & Dave Price come back, I am not watching!
The day I learned that CBS had fired Harry, Maggie & Dave is the day I quit watching
the CBS morning show and started watching Good Morning America on ABC. I have talked
to other friends and family who did likewise.
