Who’s News Today: Michael Jackson, The Coen Brothers, James Spader

Here are today’s links on a stormy Monday (at least on the East Coast).

-Michael Jackson’s red jacket from Thriller sold for $1.8 million at an auction, beating out items like a Paul McCartney bass guitar and a sewing kit from Elvis Presley.

-The Coen Brothers are working on a film about Greenwich Village in the 1960s, with the LA Times suggesting the film will revolve around folk musician Dave Van Ronk.

-James Spader may replace Kathy Bates as the CEO of Dunder Mifflin on NBC’s The Office.

-Scott Wilson and Lauren Cohan have joined the cast of AMC’s zompocalypse drama The Walking Dead as father/daughter team Hershel and Maggie Greene.

-Warner Bros may still push ahead with a sequel to the The Green Lantern, which received a lukewarm reception at the box office.
