With as much devotion and publicity as the PBS Masterpiece show has garnered in the culture zeitgeist, how could it not? The Emmy-winning period drama following British aristocrats in the early 20th century is now filming its third season, which most likely will air in the USA next year. One new addition to the Downton Abbey cast will be Shirley MacLaine. While filming in England last month, the 77-year-old Oscar winner tweeted as she was on the way to wardrobe fittings: “Love costumes of period pictures. Wonder how big my bustle will be?”
