Q: General Hospital will be canceled in September. What will be the last day ABC is airing the show?

Monaco and the GH crew aren’t done yet.

Not so fast on calling the show’s time of death: While there were some rumors of it heading to the morgue, General Hospital garnered new life in April when The Revolution was canned instead, allowing fans of the soap — the longest-running in production at 49 years and counting — to continue to watch the drama involving Sam McCall (played by Kelly Monaco, who won the first season of Dancing With the Stars) and others. It may be moving time slots in some markets, though, when Katie Couric’s new talk show, Katie, premieres in September.
