GIUNTOLI
“Most of your work is done just on your porch smoking a cigar and imagining what’s happening,” says David Giuntoli, 32, star of the mythology-filled NBC supernatural drama Grimm. He’s back for a second season as Nick Burkhardt, a normal detective amid a bunch of weird goings-on, but it doesn’t really concern him much when he doesn’t know the fairy tale of the week. “When it’s not obvious, I don’t go Wikipedia it,” he says. “It’s more about how Nick’s going to cope through another day and his mythology and not the fairy tale’s.”

MICHELE
Glee star Lea Michele, who turns 26 Wednesday, has a lot on her plate these days. In addition to her role on the hit Fox show and her involvement with Valspar Hands for Habitat, an initiative to auction the handprints of celebrities to benefit Habitat for Humanity, she recently finished work voicing the title character of Dorothy of Oz, an animated sequel to the 1939 film. “I loved the movie growing up. This is more modern and fun.” For Michele, it was a change of pace from the physically demanding Glee. “I recorded the whole film by myself. It’s really fun. You can go to work in your pajamas!”
