Actually, a couple of upcoming films feature Marvel Comics’ superpowered mutants. X-Men: Days of Future Past is in development as a sequel to the recent X-Men: First Class, which took Charles Xavier (James McAvoy), Magneto (Michael Fassbender) and Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) back to the 1960s. (“Days of Future Past” was a popular X-Men comic story line in 1981.) For those who can’t wait for that, Hugh Jackman will reprise his superhero role as Wolverine from the first three X-Men films for a second solo adventure in next year’s The Wolverine. This version takes the clawed hero to Japan.
