‘Give yourself a break.’ — The Neighbors’ Jami Gertz to women balancing motherhood, livelihood
“Give yourself a break” is what Jami Gertz, 46, star of ABC’s new comedy The Neighbors, advises women who are trying to balance motherhood with careers. The mom of three sons — ages 20, 18 and 15 — doesn’t believe you can have it all. “Something at some point suffers,” but that’s OK, she says. “We can all bounce back.”

Pollak is the “Middle” man.
Character actor Kevin Pollak, 55, shares stories from his career and on sets such as the one for A Few Good Men in his book How I Slept My Way to the Middle (out Tuesday). “You’ve heard it’s lonely at the top? It’s fantastic in the middle,” he says. “I’m a working stiff. I’ve been able to avoid a real job for 30 years and been shown the world because of it.”
