Adrianne Palicki, 29, is one tough actress. While doing a stunt in the movie remake Red Dawn(opening Wednesday), the actress says she burned off some of her hair, an eyebrow and one side of her face. “I was thinking, ‘My career is over.’ ” No way. “It took me a couple of weeks to recover, but we kept filming. There’s something cool about watching a film and knowing certain things you did yourself.”
O’Hurley will host his 11th National Dog Show.
“I’ve had a dog in my lap since I was 4,” says John O’Hurley, 58, the owner of two canine pals and host of the annual National Dog Show, airing on NBC Nov. 22. This year marks his 11th on the job, but his favorite disaster happened in his fourth year. “They were bringing in the dogs for the Best in Show competition, and one was a beautiful black Great Dane,” he says. “It looked at us as it passed in front of the NBC booth, squatted down and left us a little surprise. I’ve had critics before. It did not win.”
