The Australian actress, 44, is still around, although not much on the small screen, where she found most of her success. Griffiths, who had her first role co-starring with fellow Aussie Toni Collette in the 1994 movie Muriel’s Wedding, garnered a Golden Globe win and two Emmy nominations for her work on HBO’s Six Feet Under in the early 2000s, and found acclaim (and two more Emmy nods) for her role on Brothers & Sisters. To see her on the big screen, you’ll have to wait until December’s Saving Mr. Banks, which will star Tom Hanks as Walt Disney and Griffiths as Aunt Ellie, who inspired the title character of P.L. Travers’ classic book , Mary Poppins.
