Hall goes femme fatale
for Parade’s End.
Rebecca Hall, 30, goes bad for the HBO miniseries Parade’s End, beginning Tuesday. “Graham Greene describes my character, Sylvia, as surely the most possessed evil character in the modern novel,” Hall says. “Even if I spent a lifetime playing villainous femme fatales, Sylvia would still stand out. If you don’t hate her by the end of the first episode, I’m not doing my job, and if you don’t love her by the end, I’m equally not doing my job.”

Describing her dark, sexy role of Sophia Bowers on NBC’s Deception, Katherine LaNasa, 46, uses words like “alcoholic,” “powerful” and “tricky.” “Sofia doesn’t scream, she roars,” says the onetime wife of Dennis Hopper and French Stewart and current spouse of Melrose Place’s Grant Show. “Sophia is the opposite of my character Lizzie on [the A&E series] Longmire, who’s altruistic, bubbly, kind and spaced out.”
